Children

Photobucket

We are like children, watching the television and reading the papers everything is a surprise. We are blind to are histories and blinded by them. We are enthralled by each spectacular happening and scared and helpless. Unlike the child our fear and ennui overcomes our sense of wonder. Ultimately the world is something that happens detached from us. We do not see the mirror when we look at it we only see the other. We need to grow up and reconstruct our histories to include us in them. We need to make history not let history make us.

Look at Us. Look at us Looking at Us. Look down at us. Look up at us. We look small. We look Huge. We look like we died a long time ago. We look like we will die very soon. We look alive in song and alive in dance. We look like were dancing at our own funeral. We stopped thinking and danced into that wooden rectangle or the embracing flames. We never thought, we just fell thought it. Look at those bright moments of movement those elliptical thoughts, those transcendent thoughts. And understand this: there is no such thing as history

Anchors Away! Stasic Sea await!

People love to tell me what I'm going to be looking forward to as an adult. A 9 -5 job and a mortgage. Its troubling how anchored people are to their present circumstances how, they can imagine other things for their lives but never believe in them enough to actualize them. If we look a little bit beyond us we can see how fast things have changed and will change. The world is off balance. The most important thing we can do is believe in the things we imagine for ourselves in those secret moments of hope.
